Welcome to the WAMA website!
Dear Aviation Professional
Thank you for visiting the official Wisconsin Airport Management Association (WAMA) website. WAMA provides and shares with airport managers and other aviation professionals an understanding of mutual concerns affecting aviation in Wisconsin through conferences, meetings, and correspondence.
The goals of WAMA include, but are not limited to, the following:
Membership in WAMA is open to anyone involved and/or interested in aviation in Wisconsin. Hopefully you will consider downloading a membership application to join the organization. In fact, your active participation is essential to ensure Wisconsin Aviation Industry remains vibrant.
Though it is undoubtedly a passion embedded deep inside of us, aviation in Wisconsin is also a vital economic engine that helps to drive our great state. According to the State Bureau of Aeronautics “2002 Economic Significance of the Aviation Industry in Wisconsin”, the Wisconsin Aviation Industry provides a total economic impact of $2.8 billion, provides for over $1 billion in personal income and is responsible for more than 40,000 jobs.
One of the best places to discuss and promote the value of the Wisconsin Aviation Industry is the Wisconsin Aviation Conference. Over the years the conference has proven to be an excellent forum to bring forward and discuss various aviation topics of interest to all facets of the Wisconsin aviation community. Participants in the annual conference range from private pilots and corporate flight departments, airport management and commissioners from general aviation and air carrier airports, fixed base operators to consultants and other aviation service providers. We hope you will join us for the 58th Annual Wisconsin Aviation Conference to be held April 29th - May 1st, 2013 at the Madison West Marriott Hotel in Madison. More information on the conference may be found here on the WAMA website.
The Wisconsin Aviation Conference is co-sponsored by:
Whether it is proposed burdensome regulatory changes, new taxes on the system, or airline consolidation, there are undoubtedly many challenging days ahead for Aviation in Wisconsin. Please consider joining our ranks and become a voice to be heard!
